Programs: Team Training Overview
Objectives of Team Training
Team Camaraderie
Team training helps players establish bonds that foster better teamwork. Open lines of communication between teammates help the team make the best use of their training time. Trainers encourage athletes to push each other through tough workouts, promoting healthy relationships between teammates.
Maximum 5:1 Athlete:Trainer Ratio
BlueStreak trainers give focused attention to each athlete regarding running mechanics, weight lifting technique and balance and coordination drills. This helps trainers identify weaknesses and target them during successive training sessions. In addition, trainers are able to give individualized feedback to the athlete’s parents and team coaches.
Strength Training
Our program uses state-of-the-art equipment to focus on movements that increase sports-specific strength, helping to create a more finely tuned athlete. Increased strength results in a more explosive stride and stronger legs for increased speed and endurance.
Speed/Agility/Quickness (S.A.Q)
In an average minute of play, an athlete will change direction 45-55 times. Our S.A.Q. portion will incorporate the speed ladder, endurance hurdles, medicine balls, and plyometric training, ensuring that you get to the ball, puck, or finish line first.
